Book 4: Eternal Security

Without saying it, many people act as if God is reluctant to save us. They act as if He is splitting hairs saying, “No, sorry you pronounced my name wrong, you don’t get to make it.” Or, “No, I saw you get drunk again. You don’t get to come to heaven.” Or, “No, you hit your wife, sorry you didn’t pass the test.” Or, “No, you have abused your kids, that won’t cut it here.” Or, “No, you tried to change your sex. I do not allow that in my kingdom.” Or, “No, you voted for the wrong party. Off to hell, you go.”

Is that God? What is God actually looking for? Does God have a list of things that He doesn’t allow into His kingdom? And is it all about what He doesn’t allow and not about what He does allow?
